Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Board Certified Pediatric Intensivist with PICU/CVICU background to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. The 0.7 FTE nocturnist role offers access to a 21-bed PICU/CVICU with ECMO and full hospital support, including EPIC EMR and a strong multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has PICU/CVICU experience with 200-250 pediatric cardiac surgeries per year and is licensed to practice in NM.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited school.
• Successful completion of a pediatric intensive care fellowship from an accredited school or institution.
• Proficient in care of pediatric CVICU patients.
• Ideally proficient in management of pediatric and adult ECMO.
• ABP Board certification or eligibility in critical care medicine; NM Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PICU nursing, respiratory therapists, care managers, pediatric specialists and facility-based teams to provide high-quality care.
• Lead the care team to deliver efficient and compassionate pediatric critical care.
• Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness and reimbursement.
• Meet and maintain provider credentialing and QI standards.
• Develop, adopt and implement clinical standards for pediatric critical care.
