Job summary

Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital Department of Pediatrics - Critical Care Medicine seek a full-time Assistant Professor to care for critically ill pediatric patients, supervise residents and fellows, and contribute to research and education in a busy academic environment.

The role includes ECMO-capable care, CICU experience, and collaboration across subspecialties; teaching and quality initiatives are expected across the Houston campus.

Qualifications

• Residency in Pediatrics completed and board eligible.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care with CICU training encouraged.
• Experience supervising residents and fellows is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for seriously ill infants and children requiring high-level monitoring and treatment.
• Supervise procedures such as intubation and central line placement; provide sedation in ICU as needed.
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialties, nursing, respiratory therapy, and ancillary services.
• Engage in administrative and academic duties; participate in research and quality projects.
• Contribute to teaching, committee work, and patient care discussions with the Main Campus in Houston.
