Job summary

The Seattle Children's Craniofacial Orthodontics Fellowship invites you to join a hospital-based dental team in Seattle, WA. As a Post-Doctoral Fellow, you will provide specialized orthodontic care to children and adolescents with craniofacial conditions under experienced supervision.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD is required.
  • Advanced orthodontics training through ADA-accredited program.
  • Board eligibility or certification in Orthodontics.
  • Advanced dental education in Orthodontics.
  • Medical staff membership and privileges at Seattle Children’s.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Evaluate tooth and jaw growth/development for cleft and craniofacial patients.
  • Deliver special care orthodontics in collaboration with speech pathologists and surgeons in a hospital setting.
  • Manage conditions and esthetic needs of face and jaw for pediatric/adolescent patients with craniofacial differences.
  • Assist in clinical instruction and education to dental residents.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and clinical case reviews.
  • Participate in ongoing clinical outcome studies and case series analyses.
  • Prepare and present original clinical research at a national meeting.
