Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our pediatric outpatient clinic. You will work closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide hands-on therapy supporting fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills in children.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists and BCBAs to deliver comprehensive care while fostering a child-centered, family-inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Texas COTA license or eligible for licensure by start date.
• Pediatric OT experience preferred; new grads encouraged.
• Experience with ASD, sensory processing, or neurodevelopmental conditions is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized OT interventions under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Implement treatment plans to improve fine motor, sensory, coordination, and self-care skills.
• Assist children in achieving developmental milestones through engaging activities.
• Complete accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
• Communicate with families about therapy goals and progress.
• Collaborate with OTs and pediatric therapy team to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a fun, safe, and encouraging clinic environment.
