Job summary

Oklahoma Children’s Hospital seeks a Pediatric Consultation Liaison Psychologist to integrate within OU Health’s interdisciplinary team. The role supports assessment, treatment, and consultation for behavioral health needs linked to medical conditions, contributing to patient care across hospital services.

The position emphasizes supervision of practicum students and involvement in academic opportunities, research, and education of trainees within a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Counseling or School Psychology from APA-accredited doctoral program.
• Predoctoral APA-accredited internship completed; postdoctoral residency/fellowship required.
• 0–3 years’ experience, including postdoctoral training, required.
• Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Oklahoma required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality behavioral health services to patients with a variety of psychological and medical conditions within the OU Health system.
• Provide consultation to other healthcare professionals regarding psychological aspects of patients’ mental health and hospitalization.
• Attend and collaborate with other healthcare professionals in team rounds, didactics, and meetings.
• Provide supervision to psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral residents.
• Participate in academic opportunities, including clinical research and education of trainees in psychology and other medical disciplines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
