Intermountain Health Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City is seeking a pediatric child life specialist to support the Same Day Surgery area. You will interact with patients and families, provide developmentally appropriate education, coping support, and therapeutic play, while mentoring volunteers and students.

This part-time role offers a 24-hour work week with fixed shifts and a comprehensive benefits package, plus a $1500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution.
• ACLP Child Life Certification within 15 months of hire.
• Experience with pediatric patients in a medical, hospital or behavioral health setting.

Aufgaben

• Assess, prioritize, and document pediatric patient and family care.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate child- and family-centered care plans.
• Provide education, coping support, and developmentally appropriate play.
• Assist in training and supervising new hires, students, and volunteers.
• Provide staff education and participate in community outreach.
• Adhere to ACLP Code of Ethics and department guidelines.
