Job summary
Stanford Medicine Children's Health, located in Palo Alto, seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist (RN) to join the PCU teams. This role involves caring for patients with complex health needs across PCU 300, 350, 360, including solid organ transplant and major pediatrics, using advanced clinical skills for assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in a work-related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
- CA Registered Nurse (RN) license required; CNS certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients with complex health needs in the PCU units.
- Use advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, treat and evaluate patients.
- Assist health care providers and patients in promoting optimal health.
- Develop and implement standards of nursing practice.
- Serve as a consultant or expert resource for other health staff.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs; pursue referrals as needed.
- Promote research to improve nursing practice.
