Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in home care is preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current, valid Pennsylvania CNA license or 75-hour HHA certificate; TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF); Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care activities as in the RN assignment, including assisting with hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and transfers.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment, light cleaning, bathroom tidying, and organization of living spaces.
• Measure intake and output of fluids and monitor temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Keep records of personal health care activities.
• Observe appearance and behavioral changes and report to the RN.
