Job summary

Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine, seeks a full‑time Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our Developmental Psychology Assessment Services. You will provide psychological expertise across inpatient and outpatient settings while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role includes comprehensive testing, leading group therapy for children and adolescents, and optional outpatient evaluations. Teaching and research opportunities are also available.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Psychology required.
• Clinical psychologist with experience in pediatric settings preferred.
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient psychology services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological testing and assessments for diagnostic clarification and treatment planning.
• Lead and facilitate evidence-based group therapy for children and adolescents on inpatient units.
• Offer outpatient therapy and evaluations as scheduling allows.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and outpatient care.
• Support teaching and research activities as available.
