Brown University Health is seeking a Dietetic Technician to maintain CBORD data, update patient meal selections and calculate calories, planning meals to meet goals and communicating diet orders to dietitians and staff.

This role collaborates with Dietitians, Dietetic Technicians, and food service staff, rounds at meals, and supports safety and nutrition policies. Work hours are Mon-Sun 5:30a-7p, 8-hour shifts at Rhode Island Hospital.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with CBORD, LifeChart and software databases.
• Knowledge of nutritional values of foods and ability to communicate nutrition care plans.

Responsabilités

• Carry out compassionate care for pediatric patients with psychiatric diagnoses or developmental disabilities.
• Enter and update patient data in CBORD (meal selections, orders, preferences).
• Calculate calorie counts and assist with diet orders and menu selections.
• Communicate patient needs with clinical nutrition and food production teams to ensure safety.
• Print menus, tray tickets, and reports; update menu selections during shifts.
