Job summary

Pediatrics Plus is seeking Classroom Teaching Assistants to join our team of dedicated professionals committed to empowering children to conquer their world. We are a collaborative pediatric healthcare provider offering evidence-based therapy and developmental preschool services in state-of-the-art facilities.

The ideal candidate will support teachers, engage children in curriculum, supervise activities, maintain a safe learning environment, and assist with daily care including toilet training.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of experience with children preferred.
• Criminal background check and drug screen required.
• Willingness to work with developmentally at-risk children.
• Ability to collaborate with a team.
• Ability to engage in a fun, child-centered, mindful manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist Classroom Teacher(s) by engaging children through curriculum implementation.
• Support playground activities and direct childcare needs.
• Maintain clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary learning environments.
• Respond to challenging behavior and help de-escalate.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by evaluators.
• Ensure growth and development using caregiver-recommended strategies.
• Toilet training and diaper changes will be required.
