Job summary

Children's National Medical Center is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to support pediatric dentistry in Washington, DC. You will assist dentists and residents during examinations, restorative treatments, surgeries, and other procedures, prepare treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and help with radiographic procedures and patient education.

Candidates must have a DC Certified Dental Assistant – Level II credential, CPR certification, and either DANB RHS or CDA, or an approved radiology

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirements: High School Diploma or GED; admission to RHS or CDA exam; or a Board-approved radiology training program and passing exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatory, materials, and equipment; pass instruments; assist in anesthesia administration.
• Perform radiographic procedures and maintain sterilization and inventory.
• Provide oral health education to patients/parents and ensure patient comfort.
