Job summary

Baylor College of Medicine, in collaboration with Texas Children's Hospital, seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a premier congenital heart program in Houston, Texas.

The role includes leadership in patient care, collaboration with referring physicians, and scholarly activity within Baylor's robust academic environment. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care and mentor trainees.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery.
• Board certified or board eligible in Thoracic Surgery/Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted Texas medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical care for neonates, children, and adults with congenital heart disease in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in the Division's congenital heart surgery call schedule, including transplant and mechanical circulatory support services.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes across a broad range of congenital heart conditions.
• Contribute to the academic mission through clinical research, quality initiatives, scholarly activity, and publication.
• Educate and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Support program growth through engagement with referring physicians, outreach efforts, and strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership while fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and excellence.
