Baylor College of Medicine and Department Summary: The Department of Pediatrics seeks a full-time General Pediatric Cardiology Physician to join our growing team at CHRISTUS Children's, with primary clinic locations at Alon Multispecialty Clinic (One of the outreach clinics of Christus Children's Hospital) and shared Clinics at main campus. This position carries a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and a full benefits package. The rank of the academic appointment will be commensurate with the candidate's credentials and experience.

Summary

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive general pediatric cardiology care in the outpatient and inpatient settings, serving as the primary cardiologist for our new Alon Clinic. Job Duties

• Outpatient general cardiology clinics at Alon Clinic
• Inpatient care, including echocardiography and consult service
• Outpatient clinic-based echocardiography and scheduled calls
• Teach students and residents.
• Scholarly activity, QI, and research* as interest allows

Minimum Qualifications

• M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
• Board certification in General Pediatrics with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same).
• 3-5 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience.
• Clinical or scholarly interest in program development, quality improvement, or research.
