Qualifications

• M.D. in a relevant field is required.
• Certification in the relevant specialty or field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develops and carries out a comprehensive medical treatment plan addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural domains.
• Performs physical assessment of patients in a logical and respectful manner.
• Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.
• Gathers essential and accurate information through the review of records and interviews.
• Reports to the responsible physician and complies with policy co-sig.
• Reports hazardous conditions, equipment malfunction, and supply inadequacies to appropriate personnel.
• Reports all QA incidences to responsible physician using department guidelines.
• Keeps knowledge up to date by attending continuing educational offerings.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information according to federal and state guidelines.
• Adheres to University policies and safeguards University assets.
