Job summary

University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's in Cleveland seeks a Physician to join the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Peds Cardiology, at the Clinical Instructor to Full Professor level, commensurate with experience.

You will provide direct patient care, supervise medical students and residents, and participate in teaching and research within a leading academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with an unrestricted license (Required).
• Appointment with CWRU SOM at the level commensurate with experience (Required).
• Fellowship Training in some specialties (Required).
• Knowledge of ethical standards for medical care. (Required proficiency).
• Ability to supervise, train clinical professionals and students. (Required proficiency).
• Experience with EPIC (Preferred proficiency).

Responsibilities

• Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
• Prescribes pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Refer patients to specialists and to relevant care components as needed.
• Trains and supervises medical students and residents in specialty activities and procedures.
• May manage daily operations of a medical program or research function.
• Directs and coordinates patient care activities of nursing and support staff.
