Nemours Children’s Health in Orlando, FL, is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant II to join our Central Florida Cardiology team. This part-time role supports pediatric patients and families, coordinates visits, assists with procedures, and ensures smooth patient flow under provider direction.

Travel to other Nemours locations may be required. You'll work closely with physicians, nurses, and care teams to deliver safe, family-centered care and help children feel comfortable during visits,

Qualifikationen

• Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program preferred.
• MA certification required (CMA, RMA, NCMA or CCMA).
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of MA experience for MA II level.
• MA school completion preferred.

Aufgaben

• Welcome and prepare patients for visits, collecting vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations, treatments and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines under provider direction and protocols.
• Collect specimens, perform basic lab testing, and prep rooms and equipment.
• Document patient information in the EMR accurately.
• Coordinate patient flow to maintain high-quality care.
• Educate patients and families using provider-approved materials.
