• Eligible for faculty appointment at The University of Texas at Austin.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric cardiology care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Lead imaging programs in MRI and CT for the TCPCHD.
• Develop and grow cardiac imaging services and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Mentor trainees and coordinate with UT Health Austin and Dell Children's.

About the Pediatric Cardiology - Advanced Cardiac ImagingPosition

The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin andDell Children's Medical Center (DCMC) is seeking a full-timepediatric cardiologist with additional fellowship training inadvanced cardiac imaging to support our rapidly growing team withinthe Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease(TCPCHD). The ideal candidate will have a passion for providingexceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation alongside ourteam of cardiologists and advanced practice providers. Althoughpatient care is our primary focus, education and research are alsoencouraged and supported with access to dedicated researchprofessionals including a statistician, research manager, andresearch coordinators. Our practice is located in central Austin,providing inpatient and outpatient support for all of central Texasand beyond.

The position encompasses responsibilities in patient care, programdevelopment and growth, team building, safety, quality and accessfor imaging services. This position will work with the Chief ofPediatric Cardiology and the leadership of the TCPCHD to execute onyearly personal and programmatic goals focused on the fundamentalsof extraordinary care. Close collaboration with the Department ofRadiology and various departments from UT Health and The Universityof Texas at Austin are expected and supported. Routine patient carewill include: Outpatient clinic, inpatient consultation,supervision of advanced practice providers, and hospitalservice.

Qualifications

• Interested individuals should be board-certified/eligible inPediatric Cardiology and able to obtain an unrestricted TexasMedical License.
• The ideal candidate will have advanced fellowship training inthe area of Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CT, and associated imagingmodalities.
• Preference will be given to those with experience at highervolume centers and demonstrated ability in advanced imaging.
• Additional preference will be given to those with previousexperience or education in medical administration and those whohave clinical research experience.
• Eligible for faculty appointment at The University of Texas atAustin.
