Qualifications

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other members of the care team.
• Cover call, including nights and weekends.
• Engage in medical student and resident teaching.

Position Overview

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist based in the Northern Region of the Children’s Health Network. The candidate will provide evidence‑based care for congenital and pediatric heart disease, collaborate academically with Rutgers—New Jersey Medical School, and mentor residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart diseases in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings.
• Perform transthoracic echocardiography; additional proficiency in transesophageal or fetal echocardiography is preferred.
• Participate in inpatient rounding and consultation for pediatric cardiac patients.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, nurse practitioners, and other members of the care team.
• Cover call (rotating nights and weekends).
• Engage in medical student and resident teaching.

Qualifications

• Fellowship trained in Pediatric Cardiology.
• American Board of Pediatrics Certified or Eligible.
• NJ licensed or eligible for NJ licensure.
• Demonstrated commitment to high‑quality, outcomes‑driven clinical care.

Preferred

• Experience or additional training in Fetal Cardiology.
• Interest in advancing expertise in preventive cardiology, cardiovascular genetics, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, or exercise physiology.
