Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Heart Center seeks two Cardiac Intensivists to join its dynamic CTICU team in Columbus, OH. The roles support a 20-bed unit with 24/7 in-house coverage and a broad program including hybrid palliation and complex congenital heart disease care.

Applicants should have completed fellowship in pediatric cardiology and/or critical care with advanced cardiac training, and be boarded or eligible in pediatrics; Ohio license and an academic mindset are preferred for growth

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required.
• Graduate of an approved Fellowship program if applicable.
• Medical License in the State of Ohio required.
• Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments and diagnoses medical conditions.
• Develops and implements treatment plans for patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Communicates with patients and their families to provide education and support.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals.
• Participates in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
