Stony Brook Medicine in Long Island, NY seeks an experienced pediatric electrophysiologist to help establish a dedicated Pediatric Electrophysiology Program within the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. The role encompasses EP studies, ablation, device implantation and clinical leadership alongside a six-physician team.

The ideal candidate will join an academic medical center with opportunities for research, teaching and selected leadership tracks, with appointment possibilities at Renaissance

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Licensed or eligible for New York State licensure.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Successful completion of an electrophysiology fellowship.
• Commitment to collaborative clinical care, medical education and academic development.
• Leadership experience and program development preferred.
• Willingness to engage in teaching across medical education levels.

Responsibilities

• Establish a pediatric Electrophysiology Program with support from an adult EP division.
• Provide electrophysiology studies, RF and cryoablation, and device implantation.
• Participate in device services/clinics and manage arrhythmia risk patients.
• Care for patients from fetal life through adulthood with arrhythmias.
• Involve in research, quality improvement and academic pursuits.
• Seek academic rank via the School of Medicine based on credentials.
