Job summary

Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a BE/BC anesthesiologist to join our division of pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists. The team provides services for complex congenital cases, including transplants and ECMO, with 1:1 supervision for cardiac patients.

Candidates must complete an ACGME fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology and have advanced fellowship training or proven experience in pediatric congenital cardiac anesthesia, and be eligible for MO and KS medical licensure.

Qualifications

• BE/BC in Anesthesiology and board certification or eligibility.
• Completion of an ACGME fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology.
• Advanced fellowship or demonstrable experience in pediatric congenital cardiac anesthesia.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Missouri and Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for pediatric cardiac surgery cases.
• Supervise anesthesiology staff, residents and fellows.
• Share on-call and case coverage for cardiac patients.
• Support anesthesia services for cath/EP procedures as part of the Ward Family Heart Center.
