Job summary

Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC seeks a Medical Director for the Cancer Survivorship Program to oversee patient care in hospital and clinic, plus research, education, and advocacy initiatives as determined by leadership.

The role provides administrative leadership over the Cancer Survivorship Program and all pediatric survivorship services, collaborating with clinical and nursing leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant care.

Qualifications

• Requires skills and motivation to advance and optimize Cancer Survivorship services in the organization.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in pediatric Oncology and/or Neurology (Required)
• Must successfully complete CNMC Trustworthiness and Reliability Assessment, including fingerprinting. Upon Hire (Required)

Responsibilities

• Effectively direct Cancer Survivorship services operations and maintains good communications in consultation with leadership.
• Meet regularly with the program staff and provides leadership needed to achieve medical care goals.
• Keep medical staff informed of changes in policies and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures for services in accordance with regulatory bodies.
• Attend and present at Divisional, Center wide and/or organizational meetings.
