Baylor College of Medicine is partnering with CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital for a premier Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Program Director role in San Antonio, TX. The physician will lead clinical care, education, and program growth within a large academic pediatrics division.

The incumbent will influence hematology/oncology services, educational activities, and research initiatives while representing the division both locally and nationally.

Qualifikationen

• MD, DO, or MD/Ph.D. with board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology.
• Current Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Rank and appointment will be determined by credentials and experience.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the BMT Program Director with a vision for growth.
• Provide comprehensive care to BMT program patients in outpatient and inpatient settings at CHRISTUS Children’s, including night and weekend calls and rounds.
• Manage a group of patients who are clinically complex or resource intensive.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, and prescribe pharmacological and non‑pharmaceutical treatments for health problems within hematology/oncology.
• Perform bone marrow aspiration and lumbar puncture on patients as indicated.
• Educate and supervise trainees including fellows, residents, and advanced practice practitioners.
• Act as backup and consultant for Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers physicians at our network of community hospitals.
