Job summary

Longwood Pediatrics, LLP is seeking a full-time Medical Billing Specialist in Boston to support the billing process in a busy pediatric practice. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of medical billing experience and knowledge of pediatric billing.

Experience with Epic Software is preferred. Responsibilities include handling patient billing inquiries, verifying insurance, posting self-pays, following up on unpaid claims, and collaborating with the team to ensure accurate and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of medical billing experience
• Knowledge of pediatric billing
• Experience with Epic Software preferred

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from patients and others with billing inquiries and problems
• Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries
• Posting self-pays payment
• Following up on unpaid claims, contacting payers on various issues, resubmitting and/or appealing claims timely, reviewing charges
• Other administrative and/or medical billing duties as assigned
