Job summary

THINK Neurology for Kids is seeking a Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the full revenue cycle in a pediatric neurology practice. You will submit claims via ECW and Waystar, follow up on AR, manage denials, post payments, and assist with billing inquiries.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of billing regulations, detail orientation, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with staff and management to maximize reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Billing and Coding coursework preferred.
• Minimum one year of medical billing or revenue cycle experience preferred.
• Experience with ECW and Waystar strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Understanding of commercial insurance, Medicaid, and managed care.

Responsibilities

• Submit electronic claims through ECW and Waystar promptly.
• Monitor claim status and correct edits, rejections, and errors.
• Follow up on unpaid or aging accounts receivable.
• Post payments and reconcile daily with EOBs/ERAs.
• Investigate denials and prepare appeals with documentation.
• Communicate with patients and internal staff professionally.
