Job summary

The University of Kansas Medical Center's Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Sciences seeks a Clinical Assistant Professor (Behavioral Psychology) to deliver high-quality pediatric psychological care and to teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.

The role combines clinical services in outpatient and inpatient settings with scholarly activity and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• PhD in Clinical Psychology or Developmental/Developmental Psychology or related discipline.
• Licensed Psychologist (LP) in Kansas or eligible for licensure.
• Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and providing behavior therapy for children and adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized psychological assessment and treatment for children and adolescents.
• Conduct psychological assessments and behavior therapy using current, evidence-based practices.
• Provide clinical services in outpatient and inpatient settings as applicable.
• Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient care.
• Contribute to the education, training, and mentorship of learners including medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in departmental and divisional meetings, case conferences, teaching rounds, seminars, and quality improvement activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain expertise in pediatric psychology and related areas of practice.
