Job summary

OU Health is seeking an RN Manager for the Children’s Behavioral Health Center - Outpatient to lead daily clinical operations and uphold nursing standards. The role emphasizes safe patient care, staff development, and alignment with OU Health values.

As a department head, you will drive performance metrics, manage budgets, and collaborate with physicians and leadership to advance pediatric behavioral health services while fostering an inclusive, high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Master's in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years of demonstrated leadership experience required (Charge Nurse, Educator or other leadership development preparation).
• License(s)/Certification(s): RN license with residency requirement; BLS certification; leadership certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for clinical care and departmental performance and metrics.
• Supports quality initiatives to promote a culture of safety, civility and bias mitigation.
• Develops and updates performance improvement tools, productivity reports, fiscal status and quality statistics.
• Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner in accordance with policy and with support staff.
• Establishes and implements policies and procedures; ensures compliance with regulatory bodies.
• Manages department budget and resources and understands financial processes.
• Represents the OU Health nursing body to senior leadership and other professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Leads and mentors staff, provides coaching and real-time feedback, and recognizes performance.
