CHOR Youth & Family Services is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care and clinical support to children and adolescents in residential and behavioral health services in Reading, PA. This full-time role collaborates with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, and direct care teams to support health and wellness.

The position requires PA RN licensure, pediatric/behavioral health nursing experience or interest, and trauma-informed, youth-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Strong nursing assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, compassionate, and youth-centered care.
• Ability to meet all required background clearances, health requirements, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to children and adolescents in residential and behavioral health services.
• Complete nursing assessments and monitor physical, behavioral, and emotional health needs.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and policies.
• Coordinate medical, psychiatric, dental, vision, and specialty healthcare services.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in treatment planning with a nursing perspective.
• Advocate for the health, safety, dignity and well-being of youth.
