Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant license in the states where you work.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service standards.
• Provides skilled occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, staying updated on standard practices for different patient groups (AOTA).
• Meets established productivity standards for the department or service line.
• Keeps thorough and timely patient records and completes patient billing accurately and promptly.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers about patient needs and goals.
• Promotes continuing education opportunities for self and staff, seeking new learning opportunities as licensure requires.
• Engages in quality improvement processes, including safe equipment use, improving clinical outcomes, patient access and experience, and utilization reviews.
• Contributes to program development and marketing strategies to grow the occupational therapy program to achieve department goals.
