Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking PRN audiologists to support our Takoma Theatre, DC and Fairfax, VA locations. Hours vary by departmental needs, with short-term coverage on Thursdays and Fridays.

Evaluates hearing of children and provides therapy for patients with hearing loss. Requires Master’s degree, licensure in DC/VA, and CCC-A. Duties include clinical evaluations, hearing aid assessments, counseling, caseload management, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree required.
• Experience in evaluation, remediation and management of pediatric hearing loss.
• Licensure in DC/VA; WA license also recognized; CCC-A required (ASHA).

Responsibilities

• Conduct audiological evaluations and hearing aid evaluations.
• Counsel parents and children regarding test findings and recommendations.
• Maintain a caseload comparable to other clinical audiologists; calibrate and troubleshoot equipment.
• Promote safety and accurate, timely documentation.
