Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System seeks a pediatric physician for a clinical and teaching role in a multidisciplinary setting. The position emphasizes diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric patients, with opportunities for research and publishing.

The role includes teaching and supervising medical residents and contributing to departmental performance improvement and education initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Current state medical license and good standing with medical board.
• CPR BLS required and active.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions and treatment.
• Continues to self-educate through CME, journals and conferences.
• Coordinates and delivers monthly inservices for staff and residents.
• Coordinates follow-up of tests, labs and patient calls.
• Provides direct clinical services including history, exams, treatment plans and orders.
• Participates in department improvement and teaching of students and residents.
• Participates in research and publishing activities.
• Participates in call schedule as assigned.
