Job summary

The Pediatric APRN at The Children’s Center of Hamden is responsible for managing health concerns and coordinating healthcare for children and adolescents served by the program, in compliance with Connecticut licensing requirements and Joint Commission standards.

They collaborate with the treatment team, including nursing, clinicians, and psychiatrists, and communicate with public and private agencies to ensure comprehensive and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate pediatric primary care experience preferred.
• Current Connecticut APRN license required.
• Ability to interpret clinical data and apply standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pediatric histories and physicals.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; manage treatment plans.
• Coordinate care across specialties and with families.
• Provide patient and staff education on treatment plans.
• Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Support transitions of care post-hospitalization.
