Job summary

UTMB’s Department of Anesthesiology invites Pediatric Anesthesiology faculty to join an expanding academic program on the Texas Gulf Coast. This role combines clinical care across pediatric surgical anesthesia, procedural anesthesia, and perioperative management with opportunities for teaching and scholarly activity.

You will contribute to resident and fellow education, engage in quality improvement projects, and help shape pediatric anesthesia services at UTMB and Shriners Children's Texas.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology.
• Completion of pediatric anesthesiology fellowship training.
• Texas medical licensure eligibility.
• Interest in academic medicine, education, mentorship, and collaborative practice.

Responsibilities

• Join a rapidly expanding program with institutional support.
• Participate in resident and fellow education and simulation programs.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and scholarly activities.
• Provide pediatric anesthesia across multiple clinical environments including pediatric burn anesthesia.
