Job summary

Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL seeks a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team.

The role provides anesthesia care for pediatric patients across surgeries and diagnostics, working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and comfort. The successful candidate will hold an MD or DO, be board-certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology, hold or be eligible for Florida licensure, and bring experience in general, regional, and local anesthesia.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) and board certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
• Valid Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure in Florida.
• Experience in pediatric anesthesia care, including general, regional, and local anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for pediatric patients undergoing surgeries, diagnostic procedures, and interventions.
• Collaborate with surgeons, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.
• Monitor and manage patients’ vital signs, ensuring patient safety before, during, and after anesthesia.
• Participate in preoperative assessments and educate patients and families about the anesthesia process.
• Respond to emergency situations with quick, effective actions and protocols to stabilize and protect patients.
• Provide ongoing care and follow-up post-procedure to ensure recovery and address any complications.
• Maintain thorough, accurate patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, educational activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
