Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, seeks a BE/BC fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our Department of Anesthesiology in a diverse academic practice featuring both pediatric and adult cases.

You will care for patients across settings supported by a 30-bed Level III NICU, PICU, and expanding pediatric services, participate in pediatric NORA, and collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams while mentoring residents and medical students.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology
• Pediatric Fellowship trained
• Excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Eligible for medical licensure in New Hampshire and Vermont
• Commitment to continuous learning and patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthetic care for both pediatric and adult patients, with pediatric assignments prioritized within a varied academic clinical practice
• Manage a broad spectrum of pediatric cases, from routine ambulatory procedures to complex surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents
• Provide care across a range of pediatric settings, supported by a 30-bed Level III NICU, PICU, and expanding pediatric procedural services
• Participate in pediatric non-operating room anesthesia (NORA)
• Collaborate with surgeons, pediatric specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
• Engage in teaching and mentorship of anesthesiology residents and medical students
• Contribute to the academic mission of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College through clinical education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities for research and academic advancement
• Help advance clinical excellence and the continued development of pediatric anesthesia services while maintaining a broad and engaging clinical practice

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with surgeons, pediatric specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Engage in teaching and mentorship of anesthesiology residents and medical students within a program that welcomes eight anesthesiology residents annually.
• Contribute to the academic mission of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College through clinical education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities for research and academic advancement.
• Help advance clinical excellence and the continued development of pediatric anesthesia services while maintaining a broad and engaging clinical practice.
