Job Requirements: Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible anesthesiologist (actively in the certification exam process) with Pediatric fellowship training or equivalent expertise. A Louisiana medical license is required. New graduates are welcome to apply. This position is based in a freestanding children’s hospital and focuses primarily on pediatric anesthesia, with occasional neuro, trauma, regional, and orthopedic cases. There are no cardiac, thoracic, vascular, OB, chronic pain, critical care, or office-based anesthesia responsibilities. The anesthesiologist will medically direct CRNAs and personally perform approximately 1% of cases. First-call frequency varies and includes a guaranteed post-call day off; no second call is required. Board recertification is required every 10 years.
