Job summary

This position requires a DO or MD, skills in clinical care, ABA certification or eligible, and credentials to obtain a State of Florida physician's license. The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine Gainesville, is seeking pediatric anesthesia-trained anesthesiologists at the tenure- or non-tenure-accruing level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor to teach and practice at UF Health Shands Hospital, Shands Children's Hospital, and Childrens Surgical Center at the University of Florida, a quaternary care teaching facility located in Gainesville, FL (including Level I Trauma Center / High-Risk OB / Comprehensive Stroke Center / Level 4 NICU / Congenital Heart Center / Solid Organ Transplantation / Cancer Center).

The division boasts a vibrant, growing academic practice with a strong fellowship program. Our pediatric anesthesiologists work closely with pediatric medicine and surgical specialists in a collegial environment that fosters collaboration.

The Department of Anesthesiology comprises 80+ faculty anesthesiologists, 95 residents, 20 fellows, and 88 CRNA/CAAs who cover 67 operating rooms and 16 NORA locations, perform 55,000+ anesthesia cases a year, and publish an average of 130+ peer-reviewed publications per year.
