Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric anesthesiologist to join LVPG Anesthesiology in the Lehigh Valley. The role offers a mixed practice with pediatric and adult cases, collaboration with a leading hospital system, and opportunities for clinical research and teaching.

Qualifications

• Passion for clinical work to positively impact patient care, safety and experience.
• Must be American Board of Anesthesiology board-certified or board-eligible in both Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology.
• A valid Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with LVPG Anesthesiology and Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital for pediatric anesthesiology services.
• Mix of pediatric and generalist/obstetric cases across ORs and ambulatory centers.
• Support an academic environment with training programs and residency opportunities.
• Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.

We are inviting board-certified or board-eligible pediatric anesthesiologists with exceptional clinical and interpersonal skills to join Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG) Anesthesiology, part of Jefferson Health. In the Lehigh Valley, we have more than 70 anesthesiologists, 150 CRNAs and several resident trainees with a variety of clinical interests and expertise.

Position Overview

• By joining the Pediatric Anesthesiology Division within LVPG’s Department of Anesthesiology, you will be closely partnered with the clinicians and staff of Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital at Cedar Crest for pediatric anesthesiology service needs, including patients from our high-acuity NICU and PICU.
• A mixed practice encompassing a roughly even split between pediatric cases and adult generalist/obstetric cases in our main operating rooms, labor and delivery suite, and non-operating room anesthesia (NORA) environment creates welcome and stimulating challenges to keep sharp the full breadth of anesthesiology skills and knowledge.
• Enjoy time in our crown jewel, a separately licensed but on-site ambulatory Children’s Surgical Center for patients aged 6 months through 18 years.
• Enjoy flexibility with the structuring of work hours, shifts, call, and time‑off.
• Contribute to a robust academic environment, including 17 ACGME-accredited training programs and an anesthesiology residency.
• Participate in and pursue supported clinical research and quality improvement opportunities.

Job Qualifications
