Job summary

UW Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Pediatric Float Pool at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. This 90% FTE, weekday schedule emphasizes 8:30AM–5:00PM with no weekends or holidays, and hours may vary by department needs.

You will join a world-class team delivering preventive and specialized pediatric care, performing triage, patient education and direct patient care within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Registered nursing licensure in the state where employed or a compact license Upon Hire Required
• CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
• Clinical certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with phone triage, in-basket management, patient education and direct patient care.
• Be an active member of a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team.
• Care for patients and families across varied populations and locations.
• Utilize critical thinking in triaging phone calls and patient needs.
