Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (FNP, PNP, or PA) for Pediatric Inpatient Epilepsy II: Weekend Coverage as part of the Neuro Expansion program at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus.

Key duties include taking medical histories, performing exams, ordering tests, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the health care team. Licensure as APRN or PA in the applicable state is required, with MSN or PA degree milestones noted.

Qualifications

• Must hold APRN or PA licensure in applicable state.
• MSN or PA master's degree within hire timeline.
• Graduate of accredited APRN program with active licensure.
• Master's in PA studies or higher for physician assistant track.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations with appropriate tests.
• Develop working diagnosis and treatment plan in collaboration with the care team.
• Prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by license and policy.
• Educate patients on disease, treatments and potential side effects.
• Participate in rounds and coordinate care with nursing and other professionals.
• Refer to specialists when needed and ensure continuity of care.
• Support professional development and translation of evidence-based practices.
• May conduct research studies and assist with data collection.
• May supervise students or onboard new caregivers.
• Other duties as assigned.
