Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is a Pediatric Behavioral Health unit seeking an experienced RN to provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to children and adolescents. You will conduct assessments, implement care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with families and the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Shift coverage includes Day and Night shifts. New grads are welcome; fingerprinting, CPR/BLS, and CPI requirements apply within designated timelines, ensuring a safe, therapeutic

Qualifications

• Pediatric-focused clinical experience and compassionate care approach.
• Current RN license required.
• CPI certification within 30 days of hire.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required on hire.
• Knowledge of pediatric growth and development principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral management per facility protocols.
• Monitor and document patients' physical, emotional, and behavioral status.
• Educate families about treatment and ongoing care; communicate with guardians.
• Participate in shift reports and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Adhere to infection control and patient safety guidelines.

Job Qualifications

• New Grads are welcome to apply
• A Level One Fingerprint Card is required
• Current RN license and AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required upon hire
• CPI Certification required within 30 days of hire
• Knowledge of pediatric growth and development principles and age-appropriate patient care
• Ability to assess patient needs and respond appropriately to physical, emotional, and behavioral changes
• Understanding of nursing documentation standards, policies, and procedures

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices.
