Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Primary Care team. You’ll work under the supervision of RNs and providers across a fast-paced, interprofessional setting, delivering patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include administering vaccines, medications, wound care, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team. Flexible daytime shifts and cross-site coverage may be required to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a practical nursing program; LPN boards per state requirements.
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing preferred.
• One year of LPN experience within the last five years preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to work daytime hours; flexibility may be required to meet staffing needs.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN supervision in primary care.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and treatments.
• Manage patient communications via phone, online messages, and telehealth.
• Support preventive care and chronic condition management.
• Manage nurse calendars and coordinate schedules.
• Contribute to quality initiatives by closing care gaps.
