Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a patient care support role within Pediatric Acute Care to assist in delivering patient care under licensed nurse supervision. You will help maintain unit environmental standards and support patient flow and communication with families.

Qualifications

• Clinical competencies demonstrated at novice level for patient care interventions.
• Care partner patient documentation using clinical applications.
• Environment of care: setting up and maintaining patient rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Planning & organizing: anticipate resource needs, schedule activities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with day-to-day delivery of patient care.
• Facilitate efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards.
• Serve as a liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs.
• Support unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards.
