Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support children at the Edna A. Hill Child Development Center.

You will work closely with BCBAs, teachers, and students to apply ABA techniques and promote development across communication, social, and daily living skills. This hourly position emphasizes hands-on learning, safety, and teamwork, with responsibilities including data collection, progress reporting, and adherence to KDHE regulations.

Qualifications

• RBT certification required as indicated in materials.
• Minimum of three clock hours of child development training before employment or willingness to complete.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to work effectively with young children of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to perform basic physical tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• 40% - Behavior Intervention and Skill Development: Implement ABA-based intervention plans.
• 20% - Data Collection and Documentation: Collect and document skill acquisition and behavior data.
• 15% - Child Supervision and Engagement: Interact with children and support daily living skills.
• 10% - Licensing Compliance and Safety: Adhere to KDHE regulations and safety procedures.
• 10% - Team Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate with teachers, therapists, and supervisors.
• 5% - Family Interaction and Professional Conduct: Communicate with families professionally.
