Job summary

South Mill Champs Mushrooms is seeking a Peat Moss Mixer Truck operator to prepare peat moss for the growing houses. A High School Diploma and a valid Driver's License with a clean record are required.

The role involves working largely independently, following directions, and driving a standard transmission truck. You will oversee peat moss operations, maintain supplies, keep the shed area clean, and help train new staff.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with clean driving history.
• Must be able to drive a truck with standard transmission.

Responsibilities

• Wash and secure peat moss building.
• Keep area around peat moss shed clean of debris.
• Must maintain adequate supply of peat moss and lime.

Peat Moss Mixer Trucks

Position Summary: This position requires a capable candidate to prepare the peat moss for the growing houses.

Education: High School Diploma

Essential Skills And Abilities

• Able to work independently with little supervision


• Able to take directions


• Available 6 days per week at 9 or more hours per day


• Must be able to drive a truck with standard transmission

Certifications / Licenses: Valid Driver's License with clean driving history

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Wash and secure peat moss building


• Keep area around the peat moss shed clean of debris


• Must maintain adequate supply of peat moss and lime


• Ability to monitor hours and days off efficiently


• Maintain and supply salt to the softeners


• Ensure CAC is available for the following business day


• Provides accountability and direction to Management for Company - Employee Interaction.


• Ability to train new employees


• Oversee the peat moss process


• Oversee all the peat moss personnel


• Ensure that all peat moss practices are followed at all times


• Monitor and evaluate performance of all peat moss staff under his / her supervision


• Ensure that follow up and / or discipline is implemented as per company policy


• Record water usage and bales for all mixers
