Job summary

Knox City Police Department seeks qualified individuals for the position of Police Officer. Officers must be a licensed peace officer in Texas with current TCOLE certification and capable of working all shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call hours. Starting salary is $46,000 with benefits including a take-home vehicle, retirement plan, and health insurance.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens, hold a high school diploma or GED, have a valid Texas driver’s license, and be able to live within Knox

• U.S. citizen.

• Valid Texas driver’s license with good driving history.
• Ability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and be on call.
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.
• Must live within the city limits of Knox City.

THE KNOX CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS AN OPENING FOR POLICE OFFICER JOB DESCRIPTION: POLICE OFFICER

THE KNOX CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT IS SEEKING QUALIFIED AND DEDICATED INDIVIDUALS FOR THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER. POLICE OFFICER MUST BE LICENSED PEACE OFFICER IN THE STATE OF TEXAS AND HOLD A CURRENT TCOLE CERTIFICATION.

THIS FULL-TIME POSITION OFFICERS A COMPETITIVE STARTING SALARY AT $46,000.00 ($22.12 HOURLY RATE) PENDING ON YEARS OF EXPERIENCE ALONG WITH A COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS PACKAGE INCLUDING A TAKE-HOME VEHICLE, RETIREMENT PLAN, LIFE AND HEALTH INSURANCE, AND OTHER AVAILABLE BENEFITS.

POLICE OFFICER MUST BE A UNITED STATES CITIZEN, HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR GED.

POLICE OFFICER MUST BE VALID TEXAS DRIVER’S LICENSE WITH GOOD DRIVING HISTORY.

POLICE OFFICER MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ALL SHIFTS, WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, AND BE ON CALL.

BILINGUAL IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQURIED.

POLICE OFFICER MUST LIVE WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF KNOX CITY.

POLICE OFFICERS ARE EXPECTED TO PERFORM A WIDE RANGE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT DUTIES, INCLUDING PATROLLING THE CITY, RESPONDING TO EMERGENCY CALLS, CONDUCTING INVESTIGATIONS, AND ENSURING PUBLIC SAFETY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY.
