Selby Jennings is seeking a Senior Associate or VP for a Chicago-based lower middle market Private Equity firm. The role offers hands-on deal experience across the investment lifecycle and exposure to the full investment process.

The Senior Associate/VP will conduct market research, build financial models, perform valuation and returns analysis, and assist portfolio company work. Strong M&A/PE background and exceptional work ethic are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Investment Banking experience performing M&A at a reputable middle market or lower middle market bank.
• 1–3 years of Private Equity experience at a lower middle market fund.
• Superior financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional work ethic.
• Prior experience or interest in the industrials, manufacturing, distribution, and business services space.

• Execution of broader market and industry research.
