Job summary

Peninsula Covenant Church, through Peninsula Community Center in Redwood City, is seeking a PE+ Coach to lead developmentally appropriate fitness activities for 15–25 students, following the PE+ curriculum and fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

Under the Site Leader, you will demonstrate proper form, ensure safety, adapt activities to the school calendar, and contribute to an engaging and inclusive PE program that supports youth growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; applicant 18+ years old.
• Ability to engage, equip, and empower children in activity.
• Strong teamwork and communication with staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver PE+ classes and recess activities with supervision from Site Leader.
• Maintain safety, monitor participation, and manage student behavior.
• Communicate regularly with Site Leader, team, teachers, and parents.
• Prepare and implement the PE+ curriculum with consistency across sessions.
• Foster positive relationships and mentorship within the school community.
• Support program goals and contribute to program scheduling and logistics.
