UCI Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, package, document, and label drug products under direct supervision. You will perform data entry, assist with drug purchasing, and support inventory control within the Pharmacy Department.

The role requires at least one year of full-time Pharmacy Technician experience, strong English communication, and licensure or intern registration with the California Board of Pharmacy. Prior IV admixture experience is a plus.

Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist. Performs all required data entry and filing associated with the process and performs functions related to drug purchasing and inventory control procedures. Technician will participate in the Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as needed or required. Required Qualifications

What It Takes to be Successful

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Must be able to demonstrate proper aseptic techniques
• Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• 1+ year experience in admixing chemotherapy drugs

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience (minimum 2 years) in a pharmacy preparing sterile I.V. admixture
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• Experience in IV solution processing
